Lol Beck wins the faceoff but nobody there to get it

Idk why that guy moved up on the faceoff, that was so dumb. Looked like Beck told him to for some reason.
Best player for Montreal in all phases of the game. Could have had several goals tonight. Even the tepid Devils' announcers noticed him. When Beck wasn't on the ice, Montreal's play dropped right off. If he gets a bit quicker, this kid will be star in the NHL.

Owen Beck seems to have received the most attention and accolades in this thread.

Short sample size of only 2 games but man, he came to play. This guy may just force a lot of decisions when he’s done in the OHL, his play has been solid.

Let him outrageously dominate, it’ll do wonders for his confidence. And who knows how they’ll deploy him — maybe he’ll get a lot of games at center and we’ll find out how well he can handle it.

Double edged sword.

He can dominate and become chumy chumy with his ohl teamates OR feel home sick, not blend well with his teamates and therefore potentially waste a year of his developement.

He's a euro player, he comes from a different background with different culture and values.

Since he already played with men and he's showing he's above CHL level the safest course of action for him is the AHL with the pros. But i also insist, NHL wont hurt him.

I find his anticipational quickness off the charts and yes I think I made up that word.

For sure but I have to believe that HuGo will be taking those and other factors into consideration.

Isn’t it a foregone conclusion, though? Two tweets from yesterday appeared to confirm that Mesar is OHL-bound.

The attention and accolades were well earned. Sometimes you get lucky in the draft. And sometimes you get really lucky. I suspect that Beck firmly falls into the latter category.

nah man those guys are dumb, how can it be done deal before the tournament even started. Hugo said we'll have to evaluate him and see if he goes AHL or OHL and to me AHL seems more logical.
