Mesar is a different type of player, he played with men already who are stronger, bigger and faster with hockey experience.

He belongs with the pros, i would make him an nhl right from the get go or AHL at the very least.

I'm liking what I'm seeing tonight.

But I think it's fine for a 19 year old to learn to be a dominant player that posses the puck and leads a team against his own age group.

Draisaitl is another player that started his 1st post draft year as a pro, but then went down to the CHL.

you know it doesn't work that way....

its not about the points its about how you play. i dont see Mesar as the new Gretzsky i see him as the new St-Louis/Koivu

St-Louis played 4 years in the NCAA post his first draft year (plus 1.8 year in the AHL after that).

Koivu played 2 years in Finland before playing in the NHL.

So yeah, 1 year in the OHL (or 2 depending on his play) and then 1 year in the AHL looks good.
