WTF Plek was not even remotely close to being open on that play.
People want to talk about knowing hockey yet this is basic stuff.
I'm not a huge fan of Plek and his lack of board play but you can't try to pass that puck to that player at that moment.

To be fair, that play happens all the time during the game and there's almost always tons of back pressure on the winger. But that changes if the winger is actually big and strong and knows how to protect the puck.

Heard that Bergevin?

Of course the Subban fan boys blame Weber on that when Pleks was soft as butter and Markov is skating around in circles looking for his AARP membership.

Let's not pretend Weber pass was good. Plek missed the pass who was in the air..

Weber was pressured and attempted a pass to Plekanec and missed.

You sound more like a Weber fanboy who can't accept that Weber made a bad pass.

Toronto slightly out-shot Montreal and outscored them 1-0 in period 1. The Rangers and Habs were tied 1-1 at the end of the first period, but Montreal out-shot the NYR. Both games ended in a 3-2 OT win for the habs.

Perhaps Claude Julien will bring some of that Boston road magic our way, as they've been quite a good team on the road this year and last year.

The Habs have got to be the least talented team currently in the playoffs. Watching them try to generate any form of offense is brutal to watch. This team desperately needs talent.

You can imagine how the thread would read if Nate made that play. ;)

They dont care man. They have a narrative to build up. Weber sucks. Bergevin sucks. Plekanec makes a bad play? Weber's fault!

What did Plekanec do bad on that play exactly?

He missed a pass that was in the air.. it happens. Why didn't Weber make a basic play with a tape to tape pass instead? Wouldn't that be easier for Plekanec?

Watch the replay.. at full speed.. Weber handle the puck like a hot potato and got rid of it as soon as he saw pressure. He didn't give Plekanec any chance to handle that pass.
