Weise > Shaw

He was faster, hit hard, could play from time to time in a top6 role...I still don't understand the trade.

Weise got away from hitting altogether when he played on the top line with DD and Max. Even when he went back down to the 3rd and 4th line, he was convinced he was a top line finesse player. He got away from what made him successful at some point.

But I will always appreciate his playoff performances.

You're out to lunch. Weber has been fine.

I miss PK but he was never going to get the respect of the management so it's best to move on. What this team is lacking is better coaching and systems. MT's system makes people play the hard way and the exhaustion is evident every year

Check two posts below mine where the poster agrees with me. Perhaps you're out to lunch? Yes, Weber has been fine. Fine isn't good enough. So he can shoot a puck, big deal. There's other facets of the game where he has been average (just like the fired analytics guy predicted). He's invisible when he's not wiring the puck on the PP

For those criticizing Shaw; he was meant to be a 3rd line banger with hands. It's not his fault that Therrien throws him on the PP with Desharnais every second shift, that's not his element

Shaw doesn't produced much at even strength, 25-30% of his goals in the last 3 seasons with the blackhawks were scored on the PP.

Mitch Gallo just said on TSN690 that MB needs to get DD off this team and take this player away from MT. He said DD has played more on the PP tonight than Radulov. MT just cannot help himself regarding DD.

Top 3 forwards TOI tonight.
Radulov: 12:02 TOI
Shaw: 12:00 TOI
4th line center DD: 11:57 TOI

men... did you understand anything about the game... radu patch gally are putrid tonight...

-1 let scoring chance.

the 4th line is not the ****ing problem

Seriously, Shea Webs constantly let's guys off the hook when he has an obvious chance to hit someone and separate them from the puck. Very passive, the big guy.

Probably doesn't want to get caught out of position with his poor skating technique, but still... Show us some sort of physical game! We are desperately lacking it.

Exactly! Show some spine and stop coasting.

Actually, he was on Chicago's first line and top 6 more often than not and had some moments of glory from being in Toews' and Kane's halo, although that's because Saad became too expensive. But people can be such fools to expect anyone on this team to be on a Kane or Toews level to inflate Shaw's totals, although Chucky has that potential. Before you mention Radulov, quite of few had doubts about him, and no doubt some Shaw huggers were Radulov doubters.
