Not only that, but Bergevin botched the Subban contract so bad and we could have had him for 5x6 (or 6x5, I can't remember) which was the going rate for young, franchise defensemen at that time (Karlsson, Pietrangelo, Doughty, etc.).
It was Karlsson's contract that was the most direct comparable. 7 years, 6.5 million. Since Subban's numbers was nowhere near Karlssons, 1-1.5 million could have been deducted from that comparable. Would have been sweet to have Subban locked up for 5.25 mil or 5.5 mil all the way up to 2019 or 2020 and have the option to say bye-bye in case he starts losing a step.

I dunno.

Radulov is sucking right now in Dallas and who knows if Markov would still have been able to stay one step ahead of Father Time.

This team needs one more stud player - and we have the cap space for it - but remains to be seen if MB can make something happen.

How is max not burying some of the chances he's getting. He is playing pretty well tonight though. He's not nearly as invisible as he's been lately.

The Habs certainly would have had a Stanley Cup Contender had they resigned Radulov & Markov while signing Drouin. The young prospects have to play for their careers right now, otherwise the next off season they won't have a job in the NHL. Perhaps the Habs losing those UFA's, waiting too long to sign them, will bring them a high quality draft pick & UFA's next summer. That's about as positive things look for the SC Playoffs this year, not a chance while many Habs are playing their hearts out, others seem lost or bewildered out there. Galchenyuk sometimes leaves one wondering which team he plays for, with the errant passes & penalties for absolutely no reason at the worst time.(Gambling debts maybe? Hope not for his sake,)Wake the **** - up Alex.

This is the first time I have ever seen you not use emoji's. You MUST be pissed.

At least, he is trying... Not like some others on that team.

I think it was Danny Dubé who pointed out they have been badly outplayed in the first period several times now.

And they just don`t have the offence to come back in games.

Leads to a whole bunch of shots on goal ...and a bunch of losses.

That was the dumbest rush I've ever seen... skates hard up the ice, everyone's at the blueline waiting for him and... he passes it back? WTF was that?
