Gallagher's so strong mentally to be able to take a beating game after game.

When I played I often went in front of the net (seeing as I'm a tall guy) and I took a beating. If it was standard pushing or little slashes I would keep going, but once they got dirty I would always retaliate. I don't know how Gallagher can not retaliate even though he's always getting cheap shotted.
