Who hates Canada? I certainly don't.

I just find it hilarious that they come into Staples Center with their stupid art class signs that proclaim, "HOCKEY IS CANADA'S GAME!" Like we aren't worthy of playing and watching it in Southern California. I should go to a Roughriders game and wave my, "FOOTBALL IS AMERICA'S GAME!" sign. It would be equally ridiculous.

LOL..well played, I hate the Saskatchewan Roughriders and their fans, think they are Gods gift to the CFL but that's another story.

Let's knock the **** out of these posers tonight. :yo:

I can tell you that Montreal has lost 2 in a row after winning 4. The Sharks beat them the other night too

Expecting to see a good game by our guys tonight. Playing on their home ice instead of Montreal, where if losing, those fans throw everything on the ice except their wives and girlfriends.

Lol. Anyone with knowledge on how Montreal is actually playing at the moment? Missed the game last night.

Sorry I didn't see it either. Based on what I have read about the game last night it sounds like Montreal outplayed Anaheim (keep i mind I am in Canada so this maybe biased) but Jesus stood on his head for the ducks.
Montreal is struggling to find the net right now but it sounds like they are still generating good opportunities.

I am a bit surprised to read here that Habs fans are unpleasant at Staple Center. I must be honest here and mention as a LAK fan (since the beginning BTW) I have attended a lot of LAK-MTL games at the Forum and afterwards at the Bell Center and have always had great talks with Habs fans who would come up to me and talk sometimes of the days of Gretzky but even the days of the Triple Crown line, etc.

And I can go back in memory when Jean Beliveau scored on a breakaway against ... Gerry Desjardins! Unfortunately the Canadiens have had the Kings number almost every since the arrival of LA in the NHL...

Also, must mention that there is a lot of respect in the Montreal media for the Kings and especially for Sutter. At the beginning of the season, a majority (not 50% although) of sports journalists predicted a back-to-back for the Kings (and a majority had predicted the Kings at the start of the 2013-2014 season). Even yesterday evening, on a popular radio sports radio show the host still predicts that if the Canadiens meet the Kings in the SC final this year, Montreal will not win...

because of course, every Habs fan in Montreal is certain that Montreal will be in the SC Finals; "Ça sent la Coupe" ...

I never had a personal encounter with any particular Habs fan, but a collective bunch of them attending games at Staples Center have been ***** in the past with their stupid chants.

One in particular that springs to mind was in 2010, after the Olympics. Montreal was in town in March, and these arrogant dicks were chanting "silver medal" during the game. I didn't know the LA Kings represented the US Men's Olympic hockey team...

They were probably not from Montreal... but if they show up again and are, have them shipped down to LA's South Central, they will surely have a nice experience to talk about once they are back here at home, I would gladly listen about their experience :D

I didn't see last nights game but I saw the one against San Jose. And they were outplayed in just about every aspect of the game that night. And this is a 3 in 4 for them.

there is no ''at the moment'' with the Habs; they've been consistant the entire season. As an official member of the I Hate Habs fan club, i've seen a ton of Montreal games....they semi-trap...they trap vs really good teams, and they play harder when at least one of the following three occurs

1) tokarski is in net
2) they've lost a game or two (have lost three in a row once this year)
3) they play a team they feel they are superior to i.e. Buffalo, Carolina, Arizona etc... which hasn't resulted in many wins btw because this team on paper sucks so when they actually really play their game they have a tendancy to be average

the way they played LA in december is pretty much how they'll play tonight (and play most nights vs strong teams)...if therrien did his job, and knowing how Quick is...um...''agressive'' for lack of a positive word...expect at least a few rushes, 2 on 1, 3 on 2, or breakaways where people will say YOOoo QUick had No Chance on that one!!!

so for tonight...#1 and #2 applies...so they should open up...but i think Therrien will go with history and play a nice trapping system and force our Ds to pinch and jump in play and make us pay....if one thing i'm ready to admit about the habs...they are a bunch of little rascals...and speedy...they'll make you pay MATT GREENE...

I'm a little shocked as well, had nothing but good experiences with Habs fans at the Forum AND Staples, but maybe speaking French helps...:D

Most of them were visiting though, rather than transplants/locals, so dunno if that affects it. Still nowhere near as bad as the usual suspects though I'm sure, every fanbase has some bad apples.

That's good to hear, especially after years of LA being treated like JV...and now that the team has gotten over that, the local fans get that treatment instead, but it is what it is. Probably doesn't help that MTL typically beats us, they're basically the Red Wings but in Canada, lol. Just thankful it's an LA home game.

Ha, I'll be looking for you after the game as usual, you rascal.

I totally agree with everything else, need ot look no further than that game earlier this season for an example. We'll probably corsi the bejesus out of them but they'll just keep us outside unless someone grows some balls and gets to the damn net.

Canucks fans are the worst. Especially before 2012.

Yeah, they have been pretty quite since then though. My favorite very quick discussion with a Canucks' fan was after Game 3 in 2012. After the game he brushed past us and said, "It takes 4 boys.". My response was, "What does 4 - 3 equal?"

When the video opens with "Europe it's a nice place to visit, but stop sending us hockey players!" you know it's gonna be awesome.

I know it's not all fans, but I sat with some really good Canuck fans visiting Staples last year.

They were really cool, and funny. They even poked fun at that Epic tumble Kesler took in 2012. It was a good time.
