Slava was average last season; still he was a 20+ minute eating Defender that didn't exactly give up a ton goals paired with RR/Mitchell. Also moved the puck like he was suppose too.

The whole second pairing is gone, Mitchell/Slava, tough to replace.

Second periods are our Achilles heel.
Yes, and it relates to the long line change, and the inability of the team to break out. It's not what happened on the goals tonight, but the flow to the game is completely different. For example, it takes them longer sometimes to get Doughty back out there. It's harder for Greene to stick to a 30 second shift, etc
