GDT: Montreal Canadiens 6, Los Angeles Kings 2 (Final)

Deflections are unfortunate, and Quick may have been able to get those but the last two goals were 2 on 1's, can't put that entirely on Jones. Goal 5 was on Martinez. His inability to either make a meaningful pass or clear the zone, twice, caused the 2 on 1. Goal 6, Doughty should have played the man. 47 shots and 2 goals = Kings attempting the same thing over and over again on a goalie that's showing you the same thing's not working. Toffoli should have buried his point blank shot.

Other than not getting 2 points, I don't think the Kings have too much to worry about. Maybe get closer on their shot attempts like Doughty did.

Jones's save % got kicked in the nuts, unlike Price's :)

It felt like the Habs Vs. Kings finals where the Kings dominated every game but Roy! I think I saw Price wink at us.

I watched a lot of hockey. A lot of east coast games and Canadiens home games and they chant at every game. It was the same enthusiastic chant whether it's us or the Canes. Doesn't bother me at all.

Could care less, it's the Habs rink, they can do what ever the hell they want.

some fans need to Chillax with the chants I mean most these fans pay 200$+ to go see the game, they have the right to sing or dance wtv they want when they're team is winning, don't get me wrong I know its only the regular season and the Kings are a much better team but the Habs are the only real sports team we have over here and hockey is a religion for us.Has long as our fans don't do ne thing to disrespect other teams or they're fans im fine with any chants we do.Sorry if I mispelled any word or offended any Kings fan im at a Christmas party and abit wasted but LA always been my second favorite team since the Robitaille days but just feel the hate we get for our chants is abit too much, fans have the right to show some love when they're hockey team show up that night

I don't think its the chants that are the problem, more the smarmy drive by posts and Pejorative Slured main board threads, it's your guys barn, do what you like in it.

My thoughts exactly

What is our record away from FSW or FSPT? It seems we usually get blown out when the Kings are on a different channel!

I don't even think it was that bad of a game really. It's just little things, too many penalties, and Jones just had a god awful game. Defense was all over the place, so that didn't help.

Overall the effort (looked there).

That's awesome, how many of those were when the NHL had 6 or 12 teams?

Bravo or how bout the night their coach called for an inspection of Marty's stick, when half the habs were using them too. Luc once said, when that stick was being measured, you could hear sticks breaking over on the habs bench.
Kings have never had to resort to that crap to get a win.

haha there's a post on the main board about how much the Kings suck

**** ing dumbasses. It's surprising how stupid people can get (including the people who keep coming to the LA KINGS BOARD to complain about our lack of knowledge). :help:

I actually enjoyed the game even though we got spanked. Effort was there, just too many soft goals.

Meanwhile, the Ducks easily put away opponents that they should beat and aren't playing down to their opponents level.

Let's see if the Kings wake up and do the same against Toronto.

Habs fans chanting like they won something.

Just revenge for last season's shutout at their house.

Seriously, the chemistry is off to the point even Gaborik--Kopitar isn't working. His slump is hurting the team, to the point:

--even Mike Richards is outperforming him, day in, day out.
--red line demotion is what's needed now to wake Kopitar up.
--it is increasing the Kings' chances to miss the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Here's my proposal for a shakeup on the red line:

Gaborik -- Richards -- Brown
That 70's Line fully intact (70-77-73)
King -- Stoll -- Williams
Clifford -- Kopitar -- Lewis
Andreoff -- Nolan

Everyone here is tired of losing. Kings are my hometown team and I don't even quit on them. You're the defending champions, LA Kings; it's time for you to act like one!

The Kings played a good game. Price was solid, Jones was far from it. That was the game.

The highest paid stars on the team, outside of Doughty, were pretty much invisible once again. Yes, Drew had some gaffes here and there, but he was trying to make things happen by moving the puck in scoring areas.

There are a number of high paid forwards right now who are just coasting through and are barely noticeable. And this has been a big problem now for a long stretch.

It is their failure to contribute that is costing this team points in the standings, and it is their disappearing act that is a major factor in the ineptitude of their special teams play.

Muzzin and Doughty combined for 11 shots. Kopitar, Gaborik, Richards and Carter combined for 6 shots tonight, with Carter not having a single shot on net. This team isn't going to win games if they're depending on their blueline and role players to carry the offensive workload.

Chill out guys. Fans are just happy we won the game. We all know we did not win the Cup tonight, and we all know the Kings are a better team we are.

Thanks, but is it not okay for us to unhappy at people who mock our team on our Kings-biased board?
