Tanking. There's no chance we make the playoffs, feels like they're going not going to make changes for us to win a few more. Leaving it to the team to find themselves, at this point this is the right call.

I will never endorse intentionally making choices in order to be a worse hockey team.

Not only do I think it's a loser mentality and an insulting thing to do to your players and your fans, but I also think it does an enormous amount of damage to your locker room. (Nevermind that it's a bit absurd to think replacing Primeau with an NHL calibre goaltender would somehow hurt he Canadiens draft position)

The players shouldn't go on the ice expecting to lose and be let down by their goaltending and I can't imagine that there's anyone in that locker room that believes Primeau gives them a chance to win.

I'd be very happy if today was the last time I saw Primeau or Joel Armia ever suit up for the Canadiens. I'm more than done with both of them.

Newhook with the slowest pass ever. Put Slaf on that line for f***s sakes Marty.

CC-Suzuki-Slaf
Heineman-Evans-Gallagher

shouldn't be hard to figure it out
Yep, Evans Gally and Heineman all deserve better minutes. They've been good this year. Slaf also deserves to be back on the 1st line, Newhook doesn't do shit. His speed and hard work are good in a bottom 6 role but that's pretty much all he brings. Let him work hard in a lesser role.

I'd say it was the worst period so far but they did have brief moments and have 8 shots. Just crap goaltending and defense.

Plus there have been a lot of bad ones this season so it's hard to choose.

This type of game makes you realize just how valuable Xhekaj will be when we ever make the playoffs
It's the the type of game for him

We just have to GET there lol
We'll get there eventually, but we're so bad sometimes it feels like we'll be in the mix next season... For McKenna

Not sure why a rebuild would be embarassing to you.
I am not talking just about last 2 1/2years... With exception of a fluke cup run in a season where Habs wouldn't have made playoffs if they played regular divisions, this team hasn't been anything since they won the cup. As far as rebuild goes, like mentioned 1000s of times here- you want to see progress. And you want to see less stupid decisions like the ones MSL and Hughes are making. The lack of competent coaching and management is what tells me this rebuild will unlikely to result in much. Happy for those the feel optimistic, but I am not one of them.

Losing becomes contagious, especially if you think it's tolerated and accepted.

Tanking only makes sense if you know there is a generational talent in the next draft. Other than in that situation, the small advantage of an early draft pick is not enough to justify establishing a losing culture.

Man to man, he had his guy, Anderson and Slaf f***ed up their coverage lol
So as wingers there were supposed to follow the guy behind the net?

If it's the case then the system is the problem not the players. That could have been more aggressive but at the end of the day that goal was scored close to the net and it's on the goalie and dmen maybe center but i'd have to watch the replay.
