Not a fan of either team but why would Anaheim entertain this? Looking at this year in a vacuum they get the same production but taking a step back this deal ages them 5 years, looses them RFA years and gives up on a kid who was pacing at a touch below 50 points last year, for a more expensive guy who has paced at this less than stellar rate for a longer time.

We're going to have to take back Henrique or Silfverberg back as a cap dump for the ducks to even entertain that. Comptois still has value since he has a lower cap, will still be RFA after his contract and is younger. Armia is a cap dump.

Wont do Henrique or Silfverberg for Armia either...even without Comtois in the deal.

Ryan Poehling for Jacob Silverberg.

Just straight up. Change of scenery for each guy.

Wait - never mind. Ducks will add Derek Grant too. 2 for 1. How can Montreal say no?

why does Anaheim does this?

You could have add at least a pick to acknowledge that Comtois is worth more.

Even with a pick Anaheim would decline.

Your change of scenery idea isn't horrible, just a 29 year old Armia with multiple years left on his contract is not the same as a 23 year old cost controlled player. That's like saying Habs trade Caufield for Rakell and framing it as a change of scenery.

That’s garbage for the Ducks. Silly proposal. Take out Armia and switch in Romanov. a change that makes sense value wise.

Comtois for Romanov.

Yea, perhaps Romanov needs a CHANGE OF SCENERY as well for Silfverberg.
