It could be "season ending" in the sense that there is nothing to gain from Guhle returning this season on many different levels. We know he's good now, and we aren't, no point of running him into the ground.

Watched the "highlights", so we gave up our 1st SHG of the season to Kreider.

The Schneider & Chytil goals were absolutely crap. Allen in his mid-season suckage confirmed.

Armia scored!
He seemed more relieved than celebratory.

Kovacevic was back in. Barron out. Probably why NYR didn't score 6. That kid is good for 2 ga by himself.

Only D without minus tonight was Wideman. He managed to be +1.

I bet it felt like he just took the biggest dump of his life after he scored. :)

If there is any risk of further damage, they’re going to err on the side of caution since as you mentioned, there is no sense pushing the envelope with nothing to play for this season. We’ll get a better idea in a few hours.

Absolutely. We need to fill our daily bodily functions quota on this forum. :sarcasm:

Looking a little closer at what Gagnon said about Ghule:

It’s preliminary. First he evokes a best case scenario of 4-6 weeks but that could possibly extend to 3 months or to the balance of the season. As speculative as it is, the injury is evidently serious since no short timeline is envisaged.

Awful news, 1 of the 4 players I enjoy watching on this team, nobody but him, Arbs, Cole and Nick .. that's it. The giant kid who can cook can take a hike this season, I don't even care anymore

Gagnon mentioned that the Habs are supposed to provide an update on Ghule and the other injured players but I didn’t see anything being officially announced yet:

I haven't watched a complete game in a while. 1st line has fallen off a cliff and Slaf isn't ready so there is nothing really worth watching with this team. When most of the team doesn't care, I'm not sure why I should care.
Plus Guhle getting broken too... yeah I feel.ya. I'm too dumb to look away.

So we're now +7 in win diff over both Anaheim and Columbus.

We were +12/+13 over them just a month ago.

At this rate, we'll be right next to them in a month.

Monahan is about to come back, but with Ghule out and TDL coming in 8 weeks, this team will keep on losing.

It sucks, but it's all for the better

Sobering up from the win, let's see how the Habs did tonight...

The 1st shot came in at 17min??!? A softie from Dadonov on top of it LOL wow

24min for Savard, Guhle is not coming back it's so over for this team. Let's just pray it doesn't become toxic for the younger players.

This just proves that Suzuki and Caufield gotta be getting 3-4 points together a game for habs to even get a chance of winning a game.

Shows how pathetic the rest of the team is when those 2 are in a bad streak.
I mean, Cole has 7 goals in his last 13 games which is good but when suzuki isn’t producing also they won’t win. The team as a whole gives up too much goals so even Cole scoring at a normal pace doesn’t make them win

Yeah he gets like a goal every 2 nights but like , for them to win Caufield need 2points and Suzuki 2.
At least. If 1 of them is off , then it's just a mess.

and now Guhle is injured at long term . This will get uglier.

Blues, Kraken, Preds, Isles, Rags and Jets next -- can this team come close to (or beat) an almost 100-year-old record? I think if one iteration of the Habs can do it it's this one, make us proud boys!
