Why the f*** is Joe Sacco coaching this team?

The roster has tuned out the coach, and most likely the staff as well....so let's promote the guy who's been on the staff for 10 freaking years.
Maybe they know who the players respond to and how. I mean you said it, they've known him for 10 years. The fact he outlasted Cassidy and Montgomery speaks to what the players think of him.

It's the right call IMO. There will be a time when they can open up a full on search for the next guy and maybe it ends up being him, but in the short term now they need stability not more chaos.

He's that guy for interim

As for the trade talk there's not much a desperate team can do, if they fall out of the hunt then maybe its another story.

Felger killing Swayman for the Bruins struggles. "I'd trade Swayman right now. The problem is nobody else wants that contract."

He's citing 2 different articles saying Swayman has lost friends in the room, citing Monty who said he won't have many friends left if he doesn't turn things around (implying he's lost the respect of his teammates) and citing Swayman himself who last night said the biggest thing he lost in his hold out was the guys in the room.

Doesn't think it's about the money, but the way he handled it, his attitude and his priorities.

Fwiw.
Tell me where Felger is wrong? Hell, Marchand even came out and made some not so subtle comments at the start of camp and has reiterated that he will not discuss his contract status in the media. Can't get more confirmation than that.

Swayman has changed a lot in the past few years and not for the better and I will leave it at that. @DKH can back me up if need be.

I mean it's Felger sooooo........but I do think there's a little fire behind the smoke here, because it makes sense. I can't imagine Marchand for one being very happy about how the Sway situation was handled. Goes against how he's conducted himself and his approach to the Bruins over many years. Whatever blame any of the guys might attribute to the GM, I there would be a few looking at Jeremy himself and thinking he made mistakes too that had an adverse impact on the wider team. Would not be surprised that there has been some lost of trust and respect over it, not at all.

But I don't see that having much to do with the team's current struggles. Ultimately Sway is the guy who stands in the net and stops pucks. He's not out there skating with the other guys and trying to make plays. We know having confidence in your goalie does have an impact on how the rest of the team plays, but there's a long way from that seed of doubt to the sheer level of under-performance and sloppiness we've been seeing. And the locker room culture really shouldn't fall apart so bad over some bad feelings towards just one player.

So is the Sway matter relevant and of interest? Yes. Does it mean much? I don't think so.
