Monty’s innovations were around breakouts (great in the regular season, but broken by Florida) and around shot quality over pucks on net and dirty goals (not a fit for this roster and clearly not working).

He can be a good coach and a bad fit at the same time.

With the right coach and system this team is a play driving top 6 forward away from being very good.

I guess what I’m saying is that the pride and accountability, the core ethos that this team is built around, is what is lacking rightnow. Unfortunately I think it starts at the top, and I wouldn’t absolve the players. Certainly not Swayman or Elias Lindholm (who I’m not certain has bought in, or “gets” it).

Hell, It pains me to say it, but in not even sure Marchand is the player to motivate or instill the team with that sense of pride. Love the guy, he’s a heart and soul type of player, but I actually don’t think he is.

It’s truly amazing that a team that celebrated its 100th season last year has one Cup in the past half of its existence.

Say what you will about this organization over the course of its history. If championships won is the measure of success, then this ownership’s tenure has been a failure.

I believe a few posters where concerned during the preseason what we seen in regards to the efforts and execution.

It was chalked up to it be preseason. It just seemed to look like guys didn't give a shit even guys trying to be noticed.

It was also said a few time how much these players appeared to be out of shape.

Listening to DS in the media hit looks like he agrees. That's all on the players but Jim sounds like he was more of a camp counselor and baby sitter, maybe being a little afraid of hurting guys feelings.

It’s professional sports. You either perform or you don’t. And if you don’t, the coach usually is the first one to pay the price.

I love this sport and team, but I’m damn sick of the excuses.

I read about what a great core they have and what great leaders they have and what a quality dressing room they have.

The current Bruins don’t have an abundance of snipers. Play to your strengths—starting in the Utah game.

I think it’s been a slow rot tbh. I don’t think the results we’re seeing is a “born just yesterday” issue.

I also don’t think Cassidy wasn’t an issue.

I think both things can be true simultaneously.

Sacco has been here for a decade and he talked about building relationships with the players..has he locked himself in an office this whole time? He sounded like a guy who just got here from a different organization. Kind of weird.
