Considering the MOTYC that Sami has been involved in
I'd hope Vince isn't stupid enough to not see the insane talent there

He's a great wrestler and I see money in him as a big time babyface in the daniel bryan mold but DB never got that main event push until he improved his promo skills AND the fans got way behind him. i think DB actually became a very good promo towards the end of his career because he found his voice and wasn't reciting lines

I consider this a great promo, especially the part he injected about japan and slapping someone for respect reasons.

so i am saying Sami has to find his voice, I think he's being produced too much still

Smart booking would of got him jump into one of the mid card title feuds. Rusev made the most sense as an against all odds win against a monster would of been exactly the type of next step Sami needs to gain more credibility.

As it stands, the Battleground match meant nothing. KO is in a comedy tag match and Sami isn't even on the card.

Speaking of KO, he did an interview about the draft and he might be legit annoyed at how far down he got picked. He mentioned he understood guys like Seth, Roman, Charlotte, and even Finn got selected over him, but he took his actual spot as a slap in the face. He followed by saying he is more motivated to prove he can be the face of RAW. I assumed this was a shoot since he doesn't really compliment people in kayfabe.

Honestly, Owens was probably taken where he should have been taken.

He's not on the same tier as the main event guys, so that's: Rollins, Ambrose, Styles, Reigns, Cena, Lesnar, Orton. Bálor was going to be taken at the top as he's in the main event too. So Owens has to be taken in the group after that.

Zayn, Bray, Jericho, Rusev, Miz were taken before him. You can make arguments for Zayn and Bray easily, and Jericho is on par with Owens too with the added bonus of his talk show. Rusev and Miz being champions means they can't be taken later than a certain point (both at the start of the fourth round). Then Owens.

(Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, and New Day were also before him, and you could easily make arguments for a couple more tag teams.)

Yeah I'm not sure where else you could have taken Owens especially considering they had to kayfabe pretend to care about belts (Miz mostly, Rusev would/should be drafted high anyway). Owens/Jericho/Wyatt and some others are all in the same grouping.

Dave Meltzer on the McGregor comments

"It's not a work. I suppose Vince may try to turn it into a work like he did with Dwayne a few years ago. A lot of wrestlers are legit pissed. Conor is a guy who thinks he's really smart, and he is, who got exposed a few months ago and I don't mean as a fighter, but as a manipulator when he f'd up his own UFC 200 main event. He's doing this for attention to build up his fight, and thinking he can work it into his own wrestling angle. Time will tell if he was right long-term. Short-term, there was a WWE/UFC crossover thing, not that big, but it did exist, that Conor may have blown. Should know more in a few days."

I'm actually more excited for SmackDown than I am for RAW now. Sure, they got the shaft in the draft, but it seems like that'll give them an opportunity to build up new guys (which'll help considering Shelton Benjamin suffered an injury) as opposed to a more madcap style RAW is. Also disappointing that of all the people they may use for a "Guy goes to SmackDown" storyline, it may be Sheamus.

The only thing I wanna watch is Braun Strowman squash somebody who did it for $1,000. I'll be turning it off as brain-dead R-Truth assumes a Dixie cup is a legendary Pokemon.

It's not like Raw doesn't have potential tonight.

1. The Club will probably have a fight
2. You'll likely get a KO and Jericho program
3. Any appearance by Charlotte and Sasha is a good night and we're bound to get it
4. Seth Rollins likely has a fight
5. Finn Balor likely has a fight
6. Strowman goes RAWR and squashes a jobber
7. Rusev and Reigns continue their feud and we are likely to see both

You just need to book it correctly and keep things like Pokemon Go! shenanigans at a minimum

Both Raw and Smackdown have had one fantastic show each since the brand split and in general...the quality has been above what it was before the split.....but Smackdown has more potential each week imo and it's entirely because it's an hour shorter.

It's also because they have less established talent that will get opportunities and that's always an interest watch for a lot of fans. Ziggler is getting that shot now. You'll probably see Styles get that shot afterwards. Bray Wyatt will probably get that shot soon after that. If they get some talent for their women's division, Becky will head that division and it's possible that someone like Bayley or Asuka join it at some point and that will be a comparable women's roster to the Raw side with Sasha, Charlotte, and Paige pretty much being it for Raw.

I have to record tonight's show since I'm working. I'm not really expecting anything great tonight, tbh. Of course, I don't know if talents have already flown overseas or will do so AFTER this show.

Watching Smackdown on the Hulu the last couple of weeks has been refreshing because it's just a solid hour and half of matches and promos. It's definitely not tedious like RAW has been for the last few years.

But why? He was such a good ambassador and the digital content has been on point.

Edit: Ah apparently he did a Q&A and said too many dumb things.
