Chris Jericho made more MMA fans salty by his tweet than McGregor did his with wrestling fans, I think.

Conor McGaiver

Ric, uh... sunglasses + a personality isn't gimmick infringement lol.

Jericho and Rusev's responses have been my favourite.

It's clear as day that the WWE told their talent to bring it up to start a nice little media attention.

He's now bringing in a bunch of money via WWE fans who want to see him lose. Love him or hate him, McGregor is an awesome marketer.

Wrestlers are absolutely against anyone on the outside disrespecting what they do. Nothing new. Some of them are playing along, some of them know it's a work and know what McGregor's about, and others are taking it way too seriously (Ric). Even people who don't watch MMA know what McGregor is all about.

I guess i could see Ziggler putting up something resembling a fight given he was a pretty damn good wrestler in college. collegiate wrestlers tend to do alright in MMA circles.

In all honesty Flair just needs to go back to sleep.

I don't mean it's an angle between him and WWE. It's a work in that he's just cutting a promo to promote his fight. He's playing his character the same way Jericho and everyone else are as well.

It worked. The amount of salt is hilarious. I did love Jericho's response.

I said the very same thing that Samoa Joe tweeted when I first read those comments. Still, I'm loving all the responses from the wrestling group.

Sami really seems to be getting the short end of the stick at Summerslam.

Going to get scraps at best.

He'll get Cesaro in a showcase match if he's lucky enough to get on the card at all.

Maybe Cesaro and Zayn should form a team for a little bit if one of them isn't traded.

Zayn is in a weird spot -- it's the same spot Owens was in last year at this exact same time after his Cena program and he ended up working Cesaro. The weird thing about it is that Zayn won the huge blow-off to their program and now he's floating around with nothing to do with Roman going after the U.S. Title now. Zayn really should have been drafted to Smackdown. They did not think about it at all it seems (unsurprisingly).

It's funny how Bret Hart is more angry about Rollins accidentally breaking Cena's nose a year ago than Cena seems to ever have been from the moment it happened.

Conor knows when he's doing. Just more money in his pocket, even if he is ripping off Flair's gimmick!
Inevitably he will be in WWE and make a bunch of money off of them too

I just about guarantee you that Vince only see's Sami as a mid to upper mid carder and won't change until either the fans completely surge behind him ala daniel bryan or he substantially improves on the stick.

Considering the MOTYC that Sami has been involved in
I'd hope Vince isn't stupid enough to not see the insane talent there
