You don't need to have a vast move set in order be over, and that's where the split lies. Austin, Dwayne and Cena all got over big without needing a lot of moves. Reigns is not even close to being as over as those guys were at similar points in their WWE careers. So the fact that Reigns is not over as the #1 face is the core issue. His actual in-ring ability isn't as relevant as his booking and his character.

There's a common thread with those three that got them over that Reigns is lacking.

Just wanted to drop in and say that Dolph Ziggler FINALLY showed me something this week, other than his typical entrance and making his opponent look good. For the first time in a long time, I saw him have a certain swagger, a character that I enjoyed watching. The casual "**** you" trot out of the ring after getting himself disqualified, the throwing of his wrestling equipment, the ****-eating grin after announcing that Corbin was still the loser. It was a perfect, little segment that advanced the program and strayed away from the redundant course of "you win one, I win one".

I like that the face suckered the heel into a situation like that and did something dirty as well. It was a great segment. Was waiting for the standard 10 minutes - clean finish. It was a nice surprise and change of pace.

That fast lane match with Reigns vs Ambrose was a HELLA good match. Was it Nakamura vs Zayn good? Nope, sorry.

And thanks to the guy who brought up ziggler. That was a VERY good stuff by ziggler. A very unique way of storytelling in wrestling. And who doesn't love a good ole fashion low blow??

Against that amazing NBA game? It definitely is.

That's not really relevant to Raw numbers honestly. They continue their standard ratings trend.

That match was nothing special. Ziggler's match was a good spot.

You left out the most important part in that match

BARAAAACK LESSSSNAAAARRRR!

Paul Heyman would be very disappointed in you forgetting the conqueror like that. The one in 21 and 1.

I was reading that post going "when the **** did Reigns/Ambrose have a match at Fast Lane?" Then remembered Lesnar was in there and made it.

Reigns vs. Ambrose only match was weak considering it was only 8 minutes.

That and the complete whiff on delivering the one thing people wanted to see out of that match potential...a heel turn by either. lol

My bad, forgot lesnar was in that match. He was effective in that match, but it was really Reigns's homecoming party.

Nah, it was Reigns leeching off of Lesnar's star power and letting Ambrose lead him through and not doing much in that match. haha

Those Reigns vs AJ matches were epic tho. Reigns is clearly improving in the ring and becoming much more fun to watch.

Flair said the same thing a couple days ago - "the fans have no reason to boo him after those matches" . While not entirely true, Reigns deserves WAY MORE credit than he is getting right now.

reigns plays a role in those matches, but please watch them closely. AJ is taking many high risk bumps to make him look good, while roman is not selling AJ's **** that well by effectively burying the styles clash.

also i remember how roman sold his ankle being hurt for about 90 seconds, then poof if magically fine. what reigns has proven is if he is with an elite talent he can play a role but it's the same **** each time, which is the other guy taking huge bumps to make him look super powerful

Roman's performance at the Rumble was one of the worst things I've seen this year.

That HHH match was garbage too.

You might aswell not even mention Triple H since he was not allowed to get in any offense whatsoever other than generic grapples and just stood there to take punches and spears.

Watched the rollins special. All i can think of is that WWE are incredibly stupid for releasing this now.

Who in their right mind would root agianst rollins right now?

If it would have prevented the constant re-hashing of this argument, yes

?? I never argued about this before.

Like it or not, the network is officially the backbone of the company.

Having great NEW content on there is essential.
