Sign on July 1 for 2-3yrs@ 4-6M (heavily front loaded/bonus structured to entice him to take fewer years... making it easier to "weber" him if LTIR details him & we want to offload his cap hit in yr 2 or 3.

I really like him. But I think you have to move him, esp with his health issues.

But it has to at least be a first. He’s UFA on a cheap one year and he’s productive. A perfect player for a contender. If it’s Edmonton, I’d include him in a goalie package.

That's what I was saying. Get rid of him as soon as someone is interested and provides a decent offer. We'd be fools to wait for a robbery

Not everyone can be Andrei Markov and come back strong following major surgery.

Monahan is being held together by hope, a prayer and duct tape — way too much damage on that body not to have repercussions. I’d rather see someone else take that risk.
