I knew you would come in here and fellate the Sharks. You did it last time. Only you.

This team STINKS. They had one win in their last 12 games before beating the Lightning the other night.

This shit ass team is still on pace for 62 points and 25 wins. That's still last in the league I think?

I'm not gonna rip Grier, that was by design that the team was to be bad this year. That was no accident. But to champion this year's Sharks is really sad.
Chicago is worse, but yeah the Sharks are bad.

Technically I guess Chicago has a better points percentage, but whatever.

I know Bastian and Lazar were good today but you just can't play them that late in the third if you're Keefe. His game management with lines is pretty dog shit and was one of the things Leafs fans were probably right about with him.

You absolutely can play them that late in the 3rd. When's the best time to play low-event players? Seems like the last shift before OT.

lol come on. This wins hyperbole of the year award. They didn't play well but they played well enough to get a point and they didn't get it.
They didn't play well enough to deserve a point, if they had gotten it we would all be relieved because we all know damn well the Sharks outplayed us.

How many times now has this team failed to squeeze a point out of games they didn't play well in?

They'll likely get their defensive shit back together but that third line and the team's propensity to become offensively inept for large chunks of time is a big f***ing problem.

Not sure if anyone here listens to the Devils Insiders podcast. The two seem to revel in trashing former Devils like Mike Grier and Billy Guerin.

While the success of the Wild has been well documented, it's tough to not see good things with the young talent the Sharks are starting to accumulate.

Somehow I just had a feeling the Sharks would find a way to win this game.

grier never played for the devils. anyway welcome back, notice you didn’t really post much in december for some reason

Pulling a RangersDoggo if we lose this

I for one was not emotionally prepared for such a shocking hypothetical betrayal.

I’ve been a Devils fan since I was 11 until tonight. Simply put, they are a team content with being bottom five on an annual basis. If a team that I’ve put so much time, money, and emotion into isn’t going to put a modicum of effort in return, what choice do I have? LET’S GO CAPS!!!!!!!!

I am sorry Devils Fans, I thought being positive saying we would win after our last lost would turn things around but it didn't happen. I will not make these predictions again. Sorry Devils Fans.

I will be back for the next one regardless. This is a good team in a slump right now.

Head High Devils Players, it will happen, this will stop, this has been a tough West Coast trip.

Go Devils

There has to be something going on between us and the refs, the only we get PPs is if it's automatic or we've been assaulted.
would not be surprised if it was from the candidness postgame of the coach on the Necas call combined with Noesen saying "idk what goaltender interference is anymore"

There are rough edges for sure but the single weakest link (imo) is Haula. Dragging the entire bottom six down and if we could upgrade that spot, it would go a really long way.

Defense (I think) gets evened out a little bit but the breakdowns are concerning.

We walk away with 2 pts on the season against Anaheim and SJ. Loser ass team.
I hate the Sharks now. I don't support them at all.

I never loved them like the Devils, as a matter of fact, the Avalanche were my second favorite team before the Sharks were lol. I switched to them because of Claude Lemieux and promptly ditched them after Claude.

I've now ditched the Sharks because they ditched a personal friend (athletic trainer Ray Tufts) and I'm done with them.

I mean, I don't HATE them. But I don't root for them anymore and I won't give two shits about what they do with Celebrini when he's in his prime. I can take them or leave them.

And the Ducks have some insufferable fans on here. I've got a huge erection over how bad Zegras has been. f*** that little brother, irrelevant, inferior LA team. Spun from a f***in Disney movie.

They really are just off latley. The only brightside is every game they lost was close to an extent. They got screwed a bit by the Refs in Carolina and LA but at the end of the day losing to Anaheim and San Jose really stings. They need to go on. A 3 or 4 game winning streak to put this slide to bed. Just take it 1 game at a time and stay positive , every team goes through some rough slump. Every team has holes in their roster but we know they will eventually make a move sooner or later.

This is just how warped everyone's sense of how the Devils should play is. They didn't dominate the Sharks (like they should've), but they absolutely played well enough to deserve a point. They didn't get that point. They have given up too many late goals in spots where teams don't typically give those up, but that's also a situation that doesn't exist in the playoffs so I don't really think it's that important.

Right now, they're not good enough. With some good adds to the bottom 6 I think they can get there. It's pretty much a toss up for me with which team is better, especially at their best. I feel like this version of the team plays a more responsible and sustainable brand of hockey though.

I don't really care about the "responsible" stuff. That team while sure maybe not as good as this team is defensively was pretty damn great defensively in their own right and I liked the depth of that team and their game at 5v5 especially offensively a whole hell of a lot more. I don't think you can get the bottom 6 good enough in season. It needs too much work right now. It's not a one person fix. Next offseason they should be able to overhaul things and get it where they should but I don't think they can get there this season.

I think it is the worst loss. It's one thing to play poorly and lose to a good LA team. It's also OK to have one game against a shit team like Anaheim where you blow it with a few minutes left.

It's a completely different thing when you follow up those two games by playing like dogshit against a last place team, still have a chance to salvage a point, and instead blow it less than a minute left in regulation.

If this was an isolated game ok, but the fact that it's the exclamation point on a four game losing streak...this is really ugly. Uglier than anything we've seen in a several years I'd argue, given expectations.

They also played like dogshit versus Anaheim as the game went along, stupid decisions like playing MacD 5 mins to stop Gudas/Trouba/Ross Johnston from doing a lot of nothing.

Oh well we'll always have this.

Even though their game winner was a questionable softy what particularly sucks is they're wasting the best stretch we've had outta Markstrom yet.

Unable to win more than three in a row. A couple of four game losing streaks. Large stretches where scoring goals is extremely difficult. A third line that has actively become a liability. Unable to win consistently at home. This doesn't scream contender to me right now.

Luckily this is a fake concept that doesn’t mean anything

something has to change with our lineup or else this will simply be a learning year on how to win in regular season and make the playoffs.
