Nice call by Boone or whoever made the choice to go with Gardner.

Truth be told. Around 5pm today after the lineup was posted, I had a post written up here, ticked off at the Gardner decision. Instead of posting it, I took a quick look and saw that Gardy had actually been hitting really well over his last 40 ABs and Frazier was ice cold. So that, along with the D, and Gardy being a lefty against Beiber, I understood the decision and deleted my anger post. Thank god it worked out.

Man I wasn't expecting the Yanks to treat Shane Bieber like Selena Gomez treated Justin Bieber.

Going forward, who the hell knows with this team. This Jekyll and Hyde routine likely continues.

Tanaka has been great but I think his time in NY is just about up. I would let him walk in the offseason. His UCL has to be held together with duct tape at this point.

I agree. His splitter looks weak, and there's no zip on his fast balls. His arm looks tired.
