Even if it doesn't, we could bash teams to death. I'm just worried about the Houston matchup. They can stop our offense.

Which is why we need home field advantage against Houston, even more than against the Dodgers if they made the WS. I think the Yankees could beat the Dodgers anywhere, but playing Houston in Houston to start would scare me.

Unlikely. In the last 30 years there is exactly one case of a team bashing their way to a World Series title and that was the 2002 Angels.

Tonight’s pretty much a must win for the Mets. You never want to say never but a loss puts them at 5 back with 29 to play while they hit the road against 2 more teams ahead of them and on a 6 game losing streak. A loss tonight is basically a death blow to their playoff chances.

Losing two to the Cubs is hugely bad. Each win or loss is a two-game swing in the standings. Even if they salvage a win tonight, they essentially lose a game in the standings to Chicago.

It’s unfortunate they have to go up against Lester. These are possibly 2 of the top 5 guys I want pitching for me in a big game. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was scoreless in the 7th

If the Yanks don't win the pennant this season it'll mark their first decade since 1910-1919 without an appearance in the world series.

And this is probably the game the Mets actually show up for.

There’s really no way the Mets can make the postseason at this stage even with a win tonight. The Cubs schedule is a joke. The Mets could probably win 20 of their final 29 after tonight and still not get in

The 2009 Yankees?

Honestly, the 2002 Angels aren't even a great example. They had one of the best bullpens of all-time.

It’s not hard per se but I wouldn’t say it’s a joke either. 14 of their 29 remaining games are against the Brewers and Cardinals.

I truly believe our hitting is well-rounded enough to score runs vs. them.

Just worried about our pitching holding up against that elite offense. Hopefully Minnesota or Cleveland can take them out Lol.
