If they blow a 10 game lead with 60 to go, and then lose the wildcard game or win and don’t look competitive in the first round, I don’t see how Boone survives.

I don’t ever see Cash really leaving the Yankees. I think eventually he will just become president like Theo, and they will have a new gm, but Cash will still be a key decision maker.

Yeah... the Yankees’ best stretch came as a result of George getting suspended and professionals like Watson and Stick Michaels taking over, but sure. :

I think a lot will depend on his in-game management in the big spots in October. He basically looked like he had no idea how to manage last year in the playoffs, especially in that game 3.
