Theyre probably behind schedule in their rebuild. Moncada is underwhelming after being the concensus top prospect and headliner for Chris Sale. They still have good prospects like Jiminez and Kopech and Cease who've yet to play in the bigs but a lot of their guys who are there have underperformed.

Too bad the politics and red-tape that is Service Time will prevent him from seeing the Bigs until almost another Calendar year.
He can get games in September with out it having an impact on anything no?
Jays are nuts if they keep him in the minors for more than a month to start next season.

Nope they'll burn a year of control if they do that. If they want him on the Opening Day roster next year they should call him up now.
But theyre gonna keep him down until a few weeks into the 2019 season to get that extra year or control ala Kris Bryant.

I've said that the past few games.I think hes pitching hurt knowing how bad our staff is currently.I really hope im wrong and he doesnt blow out something.
FWIW, the Mets were .500 entering June and 16 games under .500 at the end of it. So other than that unbelievably pathetic month, the Mets have basically been a .500 club. Now obviously a team in your position should definitely beat the Mets, but the Mets themselves aren't quite the horror film that they sometimes appear to be.
