Hopefully cashman doesn't trade for a Sonny Gray again.

This has eclipsed the Javier Vazquez reunion tour.

Gray is one of those guys who just can't make it in NY. It definitely seems more mental than physical. Good news is we aren't stuck with him long term. Next year is his final year of arbitration, then he's a UFA. Not exactly sure how that would work with regards to potentially trading him or letting another team sign him if that's even possible, I dunno.

I'm also curious if there's a possibility we sign Trout when his contract expires after the 2020 season. He'll be 29 at that point, and assuming the Angels don't resign him, he could fit here. Florial is the only real long term CF we have in the farm, and he's the greatest player on the planet right now, and that doesn't look to be changing any time soon. And he grew up a Jeter fan. Just food for thought. For some reason, I thought he was gonna be in an Angels uniform for a while longer.

He put up good numbers pitching in an extreme pitcher's park in a market with no pressure.

Gotta get Didi a little lower in the line up. He’ll get over it and it might take the pressure off him for deflating 1-2 rallies per game when he also sure as shit isn’t starting any either.

We need a starting pitcher too, sooner rather than later. We can’t keep relying on our offense to out-slug other teams, that’s not efficient baseball. The longer we wait to pull the trigger and keep giving our proven inconsistent starters the chance to right their ships, the more difficult it will be to win the division from the Sox.

Just not a good weekend for Stanton. He is trying to do much rather than simplifying his approach and swing to get some base hits

Stanton day off. Didi dropped to 7th. Torres hitting 5th. Gardner/Judge/Sanchez/Bird/Torres/Hicks/Didi/Andujar/Walker. Good lineup.
