Wallstreet Journal has an article on player (Luis Arraez) who did not strike out for a month. He has 28 strikeouts with 4 homeruns in 606 at bats this season.

That is impressive but does anyone remember how special Don Mattingly was for a while? Donnie Baseball used to strike out around 30-40 times in seasons when he would hit 20-35 homeruns. I remember one season he hit 31 homeruns with 35 strikeouts. The next season his homeruns declined to 30 and his strikeouts went all the way up to 38. The shame lol. :D

Senga is supposed to throw an inning for Syracuse this weekend. I don't know if there's enough time for him to be a realistic option out of the rotation or not, but maybe the pen?

Alonso looking really solid right now. Like I said, he's hitting balls at lower elevations and going with pitches.

Good to see some of the big bats seeming to wake up these past couple nights. We don't need 9-run innings every game but some consistent approaches and quality ABs.

Luisangel Acuña rendering Francisco Lindor obsolete.
He's playing a fantastic SS and hitting well. I'm impressed with his discipline so far. When his brother came up, he was a free swinger.

Even if Lindor is fine, he's done more that enough to make the postseason roster.

The Yankees making the Orioles series next week almost irrelevant is very nice.

Have to stop using Clay in these big spots.

He looks so comfortable and natural. I love his swing especially for a compact player. Was expecting some baseball version of Marcel Hossa.

Cousins and Soto are OK. Cousins has a mild pec strain, couple days of rest no testing. Soto was being a bit of a drama queen LOL

Frankie Alvarez is going to get himself thrown at the way he's been staring down his home runs. I think that's stupid but ball players are so f***ing sensitive.

How about that faux plop at home plate running from first? I don't like the showboating.

Oh to have Bob Gibson on the mound for a day.....he'd drill you for just being ugly -- never mind showboating.

I said that last time with the walkoff home run. Both my brothers disagreed with me and he wasn’t thrown at. Idk what’s up anymore. Maybe we’re old and expect players to be crybabies?

idgaf about Alvarez' stuff. let him gloat. team could use a little nemesis energy
Yeah to be clear it's not that I have a problem with it personally (it's never been my thing but I don't really care that much) I'm just worried that some random dude is going to take exception to it and drill him. And knowing our luck he'd get caught in the hand and break it.
