I think some Stanton haters on Twitter have gone silent ☺️
he just needs to pull a mark stone and go on ltir until like september so he can get into game shape for the playoffs

wow what a bailout strike 3 call to thomas. unreal!!
yup. it was close, but off the plate. there have been far more egregious misses, but that was insanely inopportune. but as michael kay always says, you can’t fall for the fallacy of the predetermined outcome. who knows how the rest of that inning goes if he walks lane

listen nobody holds michael f***ing kay in higher regard as an authority on phalluses, the guy is the industry's foremost expert, but his inane and incessant blathering notwithstanding that is a call you can't blow in that spot.

i'm not saying that cleveland deserved to win the game, i'm just saying it sucks we'll never know if they could have because the yanks were gifted a massively influential lucky break. huzzah for them.

like Watterson wrote, as Calvin, "I know life's not fair, Dad. but why can't it ever be unfair in my favor"

Judge's egregious "strike zone" in game 3 is more than a makeup.

“I’m not saying but I’m saying” lame AF, Ignoring all bad calls on one side and focusing on one AB because it’s late in the same and suits your narrative

if you can't see the difference between "cleveland should have won" and "cleveland didn't get a fair shot to win," i can't help ya.

the call matters more later in the game. that's how sports work - with less time to go, events take on greater impact. i'm not saying the ump called a perfect zone before that, but this call was wrong and really impacted the game. luck to yanks and bad luck to cleveland.

nobody's saying your team didn't deserve the W. they won! you get to celebrate that. but acknowledge the lucky break lol. the real biased thing to do is to generalize this error as part of a vast unintelligible sea of umpiring that must eventually even out into fairness..

Imagine this: Mets are first team in 20+ years to go thru an entire playoff game WITHOUT STRIKING OUT ONCE!!!! How the hell is that possible?
And it was this Mets team, which is feel like is very strikeout heavy.

I'm just proud that they didn't give up. Now it's G2 all over again.

The dodgers have a lot of pressure on them. Only did it during The COVID season recently and have had some devastating losses at home in the playoffs.

If the Mets can get a lead, they could bring up some thoughts in the players.
