Hes a decent center. I dont watch colorado to know who he us pl AZ young with on his linesSomeone can school me if I'm wrong but I always though Mittlestadt was a good quality 3C and a stretch as a 2C. To be able to bring him in was solid because good young centers are hard to find but is his overall performance fairly representative of who he is as a player? I'm not sure it's the fault of Mittlestadt being iffy at 2C when he was already iffy at 2C to begin with.
Whi gas he p li aying with ? An issue with Mitts is hes s good player just he doesny lift his line and hates. H ef needd vnn tu o hr playing with frcrny players.I think He can be a 2C but this year Colorado struggle with injury and He needs to adjust a lot of time due to all players plays with him @ wings.
Colorado can use him to get an upgrade @ C position or get a top 4 D .
Dallas had three centers over 60 points last year
Maybe Mitts has a hand injury. I hope he recovers from it. I hope you do as well.Hes a decent center. I dont watch colorado to know who he us pl AZ young with on his lines

His much of his production is from PP
I'm frankly tired of the injury excuse to describe a players poor performance, and this is not exclusive to Mittelstadt or the Avalanche. He has to be playing injured right? No idea how someone can just forget how to play hockey all the sudden. He was points per game the first couple months of the season then just fell off a cliff.
He was absolute beast in the playoffs last year and to start the year.

If it's the playoffs, you probably play injured as well. During the regular season, there is no excuse. If you are in the lineup, you are healthy, and you are held to those standards. If you are not fully healthy, you should not be playing. End of story.
Mittelstadt played well in the playoffs and to begin the season. It's not like his tenure in Denver has been a total disaster from the getgo. This is a situation where your pro scouting and coaching philosophy weren’t on the same page. Never should have traded for him when he isn’t a guy who fits the team build.
At least nobody on the Avs roster is better at faceoffs than him.Let me know if Rantanen excels as 2C so we can give him a max deal in FA.
I want no part of Mitts back.
Same, could not agree moreI've never seen it with this guy. Right from day one.
Buffalo made out like bandits on this one
Zero chance Colorado does thatKadri with some retention for Mittlestadt+Ritchie
Welcome to Sabresland, we have a plethora of roster pieces that can leave you feeling…….well…….equally impressed with the inconsistent consistency?Mittelstadt's first 50 games with Colorado were rock solid; 14 goals, 37 points.
Since then (late Nov), he's been absolutely brutal. 1 goal, 8 points, and a measly 18 shots in his last 27gp. You don't even notice he's playing half the time; and when you do, it's because he's making mistakes.
