Saw the clip, can't tell if it's ankle or knee or both. Thank god he's young, hard to tell if it's a sprain/tear etc...could be weeks/months depending on severity.

kills me when posters complain about discussing hockey issues in a hockey forum, what are we here for if not to discuss hockey and all that goes with that??????????

If the Leafs say the dreaded out for 10 days we know he's gone for a couple of months

this injury is perplexing, neither a serious knee or ankle injury would allow a player to come on the ice during a TV time out and perform the edge work that Marner displayed, I wonder if the problem's higher up, perhaps a hip flexor issue or the dreaded abdominal tear?
When i was 16, I snapped my acl playing football and finished the game. It is painful but doable with the adrenalin and grit

Injuries happen, hope he heals completely.

Also hope the team does better without him so the greedy little kid gets a wake up call.

If it's a high ankle sprain, the timeline on that is super unclear.

3-10 weeks depending on how fast it heals and no set backs. The kind of injury you can't rush.

Marner struggled without his centre JT and could find any chemistry even when playing with Matthews.

Going to be interested to see how Tavares fares now without Marner on his wing to see the cause and effect of that.

Tavares has a reputation of making his wingers better so lets hope whomever takes MM spot on the line is able to produce.

Didn't see the game and the replay a bit unclear. It looked to me that both players lined up with their sticks between eachother's legs which seems dangerous to begin with. Then the Philly player tripped Marner with his stick and no penalty ? Was that how it went? It didn't look like Marner stepped on his stick like I read somewhere...

If he goes on the IR for several weeks, does that buy us enough cap room to be able to carry an extra forward for the rest of the season, I wonder... would allow us to keep Spezza.

Tavares obviously is an elite shooter, but with marner out we shall see whether he is still the playmaker and line driver he was with the islanders.
here's hoping.

Terrible news, hope he recovers quickly, I for one enjoy watching Marner play regardless or his salary. Can't wait to see him playing with Tavares and Hyman.
