I threw things at my tv when he scored. You hate to see it.
I threw things at my tv when he scored. You hate to see it.
He's trolling the so called haters after Mitch wins game 79 against a sad Habs team in 3 on 3 OT against a backup goalie who shut them out in regulation. My advice would be to wait a month or he might have his tail between his legs, eating humble pie before disappearing for a month or two.My point is that Pasta is pretty damn good.
So is Mitch.
Impossible to speculate who would have a bigger impact. Mitch does a lot for the Leafs. A lot that Pasta couldn't. But he also does a lot that Mitch can't.

2 is incorrect as last three years its an 8-10 year no trade clause so he is moveable
So lets say your math is correct and marner at 12.5 get's taxed that exact amount.
12.5-7,450,855 = ~5,050,000USD
Pastrnak is at 6.57USD.
Marner easily makes the ~1.5 million dollar gap in advertisements vs pastrnak.
Moreover, 5,050,000USD is ~7M in CAD. Marner is a guy who spends most of his time in canada, he isn't like matthews who lives in the USA. marner's buying power in CAD is stronger/more than pastrnak's in USA.
again, marner is a canadian paid in USD and he lives almost exclusively in canada, so yes he makes "more" even at less money.
But while Pastrnak is a very good player, those things weren't true when he signed.Pasta is by himself in Bos and has his third straight 100 point season.

True. He was kind of third wheel with Marchand and Bergeron. But while Pastrnak is a very good player, those things weren't true when he signed.
He may have one of the higher percentages of gwg league wide this season.
Lol no, he's been the engine of the Bruin's offense since day 1.True. He was kind of third wheel with Marchand and Bergeron.
Yeah he went from 1.15 P/GP with help through the 3 seasons prior to signing, to 1.33 P/GP with less help since signing. He's really elevated over the past couple years.True. He was kind of third wheel with Marchand and Bergeron.
He has become someone you can invest in the past couple of years
Mitch is obviously an incredible player but this is an incredibly dumb statement.Who started this Stawman about Mitch vs Pasta?
Pasta is not qualified to carry Mitch's jock strap.
For one Mitch is an elite defensive forward, Pasta not so much
If Mitch took as many shots as Pasta does, take this year for example, based on shooting % Mitch would have 48 goals to Pasta's 42 goals, add the assists, Mitch would be around 120 points (w/ two less games played) to Pasta's 102, combine the defensive acumen to the 120 points, Mitch is easily without a doubt in a different higher class of players.
Obsessed "Fans" try so hard to shit on one of the best RW'ers in the league... with fans like this who needs enemies, (amirite?) dudes find another hobby, can I suggest something more up your ally, doll collecting perhaps? Here's a concept, grow up, realize no player is perfect, sometimes it is good to play to your strengths, Hockey is a team game, no player has ever won the cup by himself and instead of gaslighting people into trying to think HE'S the problem... maybe pause for a second, reflect on your less than educated approach to analyzing a players game, and perhaps you might realize you're not as smart as you think, no one is buying what you are selling... if you think I'm talking about you... I probably am...
He has always been great, but the past few seasons he has turned it up a notch.Lol no, he's been the engine of the Bruin's offense since day 1.
Ok? Pretty obvious he's never been the "3rd wheel" to Bergeron/Marchand.He has always been great, but the past few seasons he has turned it up a notch.
First time I ever heard 3 on 3 OT called tight checking. How'd he do in regulation?Sorry ... do wins against the Habs count as less points when your team is driving towards the Division title? I thought the main point that the gaslighting crowd was pushing all season was, in a tight checking playoff style game Mitch disappears?
So when the only player who scores in a tight checking playoff style game is Mitch, the guy who plays almost 27 minutes, you want to minimise his contributions ... this game is all of a sudden not all that important... this is a classic behaviour of someone who ...
You can bet if he was the guy that gave the puck away on the Habs winning goal ... you'd be on here beating your chest about how he chokes when it matters...
Probably a little too far for sure.Ok? Pretty obvious he's never been the "3rd wheel" to Bergeron/Marchand.

C'mon little fella, take that medicine, haters gas lighting for an entire season requires a visit to Dr Humble....
Mitch did what last night? c'mon... say it... swallow that medicine.... he ... ....
Pasta 2024-25 oZs% - 68.8%
Mitch 2027-25 oZs% - 49.0%
Comparing a player who gets 20 points more oZs% to a player who starts in the defensive zone more than the offensive zone... is like comparing a elephant to a bag of chips.... dude be better.
If Mitch had the same protected soft minutes as Pasta, Mitch scores what 40 ... 50 points more?
I imagine the sponsorship money for Pasta could be pretty lucrative. Major market, original 6, already sponsored by Bauer. How much more does Marner get from endorsements than Pasta? That should cover it.
Pasta didn't get much front loading either, or even a full NMC through his contract, damn.
Plus that's a pretty rudimentary take at taxes.
