Funny enough 14x7 from Carolina will not interest Marner. He would make only around 3 million more on this contract vs the Leafs 8 year contract. Which doesnt factor in Toronto endorsements and his charity tax write offs.

The core group I watch games with, told me that mm should be partially forgiven for his play given how good Florida is. What they never have a response for is how bad he was in the Montreal, Columbus and last few Boston series. They usually reply that matthews isn't much better, which I agree with.
