If it was to happen he would have to waive his no move and would negotiate the deal with the other team so it would be on them.No because any deal he signs will have a full NMC.

True, but these things just don't happen in the NHL. And doubt we would get any significant piece back. A 1st at most imo.He would be in on any sign and trade.
Not often, but one did fall apart at the last minute over draft pick compensation with Hyman.True, but these things just don't happen in the NHL.
If we hold Nylander accountable, I believe he should be commended in some way.Yeah I'm a hater. I absolutely hate losing like this every single year. Please put me out of my misery and hold 1 of these 4 guys accountable.
Marner's PR crew is going through the process of hiring a ton of new employees. Could easily get into the top 25 biggest employers in Canada before long.Lmao ok there May 14th, 2025 join date.
He's done as a Leaf.It is sad to say, but unless the Leafs do the improbable and come back to beat Florida. Marner is done as a Leaf. He cemented this by his pizza giveaway on the third goal. In his time in Toronto, he has never attempted a pass as such, and been responsible with the puck. He must go.
I wanted him gone last season after the Boston playoff loss. I wish they would have traded him then. But this is on Shanny and Trev for not doing so. Now he walks for nothing, and someone will sign him for what he wants.

I wouldn't trust him to waive it.If it was to happen he would have to waive his no move and would negotiate the deal with the other team so it would be on them.
I don’t know about Marner’s pass. He’s made passes like that before. You can see his reaction after the fact that he’s gutted. It is sad to say, but unless the Leafs do the improbable and come back to beat Florida. Marner is done as a Leaf. You do not attempt to make a pass like that when you have not been able to get simple offence going. It is inexcusable, Your team is down 2-0, started the second alot better then entire first. Hit 2 posts in opening 3 min, and you go make an attempted pass like that.I don’t know about Marner’s pass. He’s made passes like that before. He looked and made the pass and Matthews kind of blindly whiffed at it doing nothing to to really react to the situation.
It's game 5 of round 2 of the playoffs, against the cup champs.I don’t know about Marner’s pass. He’s made passes like that before. You can see his reaction after the fact that he’s gutted.

Hands up if this was you.![]()
No worries, we just have to wait 6 months or so, then the Marner threads will again be overrun with his fans telling us how super crazy elite he is, how he's Leafs all-time this and that, he'll be on legends row, he "looks different" this year and anyone who dares to bring up playoffs will of course be called a hater.
On a legacy cementing night for Marner - on what should be his last game on home ice as a Leaf - this play will come to perfectly define his time with the organization.
The giveaway. The arrogance. The lack of awareness. The lack of effort on the backcheck. The thousand yard stare. It literally has everything. The perfect crescendo for this specialist in failure.
When I think about Marner in the future, this play will be the one that I remember him by.
The icing on the cake of a truly pathetic era of Leafs hockey.
Maybe, maybe not. But even if he's gone, people will still be discussing him for years to come. You think there will be Marner threads 6 months from now?
Oh no, he’ll he gone, it’ll be the Matthews threads or Rielly threads getting the heat next. We will move to rhe next player on the chopping block lol
