This is why you dont pay 13% of the cap to a one dimensional offensive player.
Mackinnon, Mcdavid, even Kucherov are capable scorers and passers.
Marner cant adjust to scorer... hell he cant even manage a damn shot on net.
And im noy seeing Marner set up Matthews like your stating here. Wristing floaters from the blueline isnt a high danger set up.
If he was setting up his linemates as much as you imply... Berube wouldnt be critical of his play to the press.
He also can't fix strength, speed, PO hockey IQ. Shot speed, determination etc. those are all areas where Marner comes undone in the PO. When the pressures on it's like a spaghetti cannon going off in the face of the crowd. Shambles McDud.
Still. I hope he has a big game 5 6 and 7 if needed. I do want to win.
