Proposal: Mitch Marner for Brock Boeser. Potched eggs on toast!

Klima has a cup, of course, but how much better was he than Brock?
on goals scored relative to minutes played in a single stanley cup final game, klima may be the goat. he is definitely the goat if you factor minutes played as a percentage of total minutes in the game.

both UFAs, ya? who's selling, who's buying? both and both? not usre it sakes mense

Nobody is worried about the Leafs. They are basically a 1st round bye for whoever meets them in the playoffs.
I guess half the teams that make the playoffs lose in the first round.

Mind you, half the league doesn't make the playoffs at all -- and this describes the Vancouver Canucks for three of the past five years.

One of those proposals where you know what team the OP is a fan of immediately.

I'm convinced this is a coordinated joke from Canucks fans

Boeser has been to the playoffs twice in his 9 year career and has a 0.79 career ppg in the playoffs. (The infamous playoff no-show Marner is 0.88 ppg in the playoffs btw).

You're talking about his playoff record like he's prime Messier. He has 23 career playoff points.

It might be a joke... But most of us should also know by now that this also is pretty accurately representing how Canuck fans think around here. Which is to say they don't.

Think it would be Petey for Marner not Brock,
with a contract agreed on before trade, or sign and trade.

Only player in a vacuum I would swap Marner for is Hughes

I'll take Boeser and his lower AAV going forward to Marner and what ever he will seemingly cost.

Boeser > Marner
Miller = Matthews

Let me guess…you think Garland > Nylander too? :help:

Mariner is a better offensive player but I honestly would rather have Boeser. Boeser is good defensively, shows up come playoffs, brings decent size and is hard to push around. There’s also going to be a big difference in their cap hit which allows us to add other pieces.
Marner is the better offensive player, scores almost as many goals, drives offense as a winger, leads the league in primary assists, and is one of the top ten defensive forward in the game year in and year out.

What the heck did I just read here? There is literally nothing the Brock is better at than Mitch. Not one single thing!

Reilly for Boeser is way closer in terms of actual value and I would t do that as a Leaf fan without having another top 4 dman in the fold to replace Reilly’s minutes.

The only universe where a trade like this makes sense is if Toronto wants more cap space and they take on boeser just because he's probably worth 5 million less a year than Marner is should both players resign with whoever.

Still Toronto should be playing to win a Stanley Cup so they can't afford to make this trade one for one. Obviously like there should be some kind of other incentive which includes players that will make Toronto better for this Cup run.

This trade would benefit both teams…short term only as both players are going to get paid this offseason.

It sucks that we’re losing a fan favourite but if this swap occurs then I believe it would be beneficial to both teams….for this years playoff run only

TO gets that shooter on the PP and should solidify the top 6 while Van gets a play making winger besides Garland to help out Pettersson & Miller as they struggle.

A straight up Canadian hockey trade to help each other in their divisions

What do you guys think?

Make it eggs over medium and you got a deal.

...except Rounds played in the Playoffs...
I get what you are attempting to say, but you failed miserably doing so. Marner has played in 9 rounds of playoff hockey, Boeser has played in 5.

It's also not relevant. Boeser was the 5th best for his team in points for 2020 covid bubble.
