He is a nasty piece of business. Tougher than a $2 steak. He’s got the constitution of an old mule and twice the kick. He’s meaner than a skillet full of rattlesnakes. They call him the Oxy from Biloxi because he puts muf***ers to sleep.

Olivier would walk through fire just to spit in the devil’s eye.

And where he steps, a weed dies.

Not much of a hot take. Olivier is the heavyweight champ right now.

Reaves held up well in this one. It looked like Olivier could have knocked him down at several points but wanted a longer fight. Olivier has that ability to knock guys completely off balance with his overhand right hook, it's how most of his fights end. Reaves gave him a thanks, I wonder if that is normal for him or if they had some understanding there.

Olivier is listed at 226pds

Huh, guess elite prospects doesn’t update? They have him at 209, was thinking that might be more “entered the league” size for him.

Also, in OP’s defense, I don’t think people have really said it out loud? Reaves was clearly tops for awhile, it was discussed, but for the past year+ Olivier consistently beats the best guys.

IMO he's 1-1 with Xhekaj, he's one of the few who won against him, His victory was decisive

Best fighter? Could be, but like many said, he's at worst top 5

He's a bad, bad dude, not to be f***ed with

Took on Reaves is the correct term. It was a definite draw. The slip was mainly attributed to the fact Reavo hasn’t done this in a while. I personally think there is no current definitive top dog right now, but I would put his as 1A/B/C with D Lo and Reaves. I don’t think this fight adds or takes away from the rep he already had tbh

That Deslauriers fight he seems to get hit 50 times and land about 1. He lost to McDermid and Ross Johnston as well. But definitely a top fighter with a really dangerous technique.

That's all true. Those were all a year or so ago, FWIW. Olivier has stepped it up.

He has been a consensus top fighter for a while, in particularly impressed by his production so far.
