There is no legacy. Just old people with fond memories of the guys that idolized as children. Your kids kids will not know or care about any of them. Assuming we win those players will be the dark era players nobody talks about. If the new Leafs pull a cup or two in the next 20 years the only thing will be contrast with other winning Leafs teams.It would be nice but no Cup didn’t hurt Sittler, Salming, Gilmour, Clark’s legacy.
Those players as good as they are are being celebrated because we have nothing else to talk about. Like winning.
Now you can admit we were also right about MM and JT being more suitable. We get things right you get things wrong it's okay
