That iPad has a case on it. It’s not broken. I’ve dropped my iPad from higher vantage points and it didn’t even leave a scratch.

Still not a good look, but we are def being a bit dramatic about it.
Not really being dramatic and if it’s broken or not it shows a total lack of respect for someone else’s property.

Just when you thought this thread couldn’t get any dumber we now have ‘iPad Gate’.

I guess when a guy has played so well there’s no criticism of his play to find, you dream up something else.
If you would learn to read you will find that I pointed out that was my only complaint was him throwing the I Pad .
If you think throwing peoples sensitive property around is ok, that explains a lot

Not sure why this is a big deal. He played like crap, he knows it and he tossed an iPad.
Would you allow your children to throw their IPad every time things didn’t go their way.

Very dramatic he had a sub par game who cares about the iPad on to the next one
One final thought on the iPad……..what about all the young kids that idolize Marner and watch him do that.
Will it be ok when they throw their or their parents tech when things don’t go their way.
It must be ok if Mitch Marner can do it.
Some of you guys need to think a little more big picture once in awhile

I hear you I just want really good hoccey players that win role model is a bonus but the guys I grew up watching fought smoked cigarettes and didn’t really care much what people thought I like those guys so Mitch doesn’t bother me personally in regards to the iPad but I also understand the shift in life so I see your issue

Break a $400 stick after a bad play — no problem. Lightly toss a $400 iPad onto the bench — hateful and disrespectful.

This is funny beyond belief.
Cried in a penalty box. Tossed gloves, random outbursts, media emotional weirdness. It never ends. If you knew a guy doing this or you knew guys doing it to this level you would be saying... this guys a loonie

We had this emotional outburst guys on one of my teams and we hung him up on a peg by his underwear lol

I pre-empted any issues by not allowing my children to be Leaf fans.

In all honesty one of the things that came to mind after seeing that. I will never get upset if one of the grandchildren did that. Try to explain it’s not a good idea but that’s about it. After all it is just an object and no need for any over the top drama.

I will be so glad when Mitch goes somewhere else and wins a cup like the other players this fan base has villainized

Matthews out he gets two points a game and carries the offense on his back. Crickets

Now we are shitting on him for tossing an iPad and now accusing him that by his doing this other kids will do it

You can’t make this garbage up

Yep I can see kids watching a game see Mitch toss the iPad and go to the living room and tossing his sisters iPad

Wonder about the same impressionable kid watching a fight and going out into the living room and pound on his brother

See his stupid tha is

These haters that call themselves fans pray every night for Mitch to fail so they can vent their pent in viral on a stupid hockey forum

Mind boggling to me but hey everyone has an opinion

Lmao, I deal with worse everyday. I mentioned a few times. I’m a grade 6 teacher, those kids are not gonna pick up habits from Marner they don’t already have from Tik Tok and social media.

Marner didn’t even throw the iPad with that much force. I understand your position, but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It’s a bad moment after he played like shit. I tagged a few other videos of other players doing. It happens.

No doubt he goes over the top at times and I see your point on the aggregate, but this is such a small potatoes moment; theres literally 1000's of times a player has smashed or broken something after a terrible moment or bad game and nobody bats an eye. Here we have people jumping on the high horse of how disrespectful this was.

Grade 6 is a tough one…….hormones kicking in. My wife was a grade 7 teacher for years and is now an elementary school Vice principal and she sees the total lack of respect every day.

God Bless her, nothing could make me want to jump into admin work. Kids behaviour as you mentioned has gone to shit. That why I agree with your points on the outbursts being distasteful as an adult.

I’m sure your wife is a great admin, it takes a lot to be in that role!

Interesting. You think Marner, with 5 giveaways and a -2 on the night "played so well there’s no criticism of his play to find"?

It looked like even he was critical of his play.

Plenty to criticize I’m sure but he’s been good this year so no panic just hope he brings it this playoffs this team needs intensity
