Those are fun stats to look at but part of the problem has been finding any sort of half decent LW to play with JT/Nylander. Its why their xGF% and shot differential is waaaay better than the final product. No finish or jam on their LW.

Just give them a Patches/McMann on the LW and poof....they are above 70% this year.
These guys ignore roster alignment and look at pure stats mar we gets first dibs on all the players clearly playing with the captain even though he was perfectly fine with jt

Last scored Dec. 7 vs Dubas, 8 games ago. 1 goal in last 12 games and 1 goal in first 11 games of the season. 8 goals in November.

Doesn't scream Hart Trophy or $13m to me.
Marner's always been a very good regular season player. LOL Hart Trophy though, he's nowhere near that good. Now $13m, that's another story and I'm sure someone would pay him that much, I just hope it's not us.

Mitch has been really good. Give him credit. Has played very well especially with Matthews being absent so much.

I still think we need to wait with the contract until playoffs, unless it’s a discount.
That has been my position since the season started. I also do not like paying a player who is a career 25 goal scorer, and has a reputation of disappearing in playoff games 5-7, $13mx8. He has also sucked in his last 12 playoff games.

Dear jebus, some of you people are obsessed with using small sample sizes to make your points. Why don't you just go back a few years and look at the numbers to see the long term trends. I'm not going to do the work for you. Also note that Marners ALWAYS plays against the Crobys etc.
it’s more of recent samples that seem to be the issue. Years past are just that, years past. They are not really much more of an indicator then current event because current events are happening right now and that’s what people are concerned about

The only problem I had with Marner last night is the camera shotthey showed of him still sitting on the bench after the game was over. He was looking at an IPad and obviously Didn’t like what he saw because he then threw it over his shoulder over his right shoulder, no doubt breaking it.

I saw that as well. His attitude is shit post game, on the bench etc. Then he does the stupid dances on ice? Like what does he think he is a wolf trying to coax a dog to come play. It's so contrived. I hate it all based on the lack of authenticity alone. Good regular season player, spoiled brat and least likable star Leaf of all times.

Funny enough I saw that clip and wanted to post it here but wasn’t able to. I thought the same thing. Seems like a minor thing but it really wasn’t.

It's little things like that which are windows into how people actually are. He had no idea the camera would be on him that second. That was him being an entitled brat that gives zero you know what's.

He does it to himself because he is who he is. Nobody is targeting him, he just does shit people dislike.

That iPad has a case on it. It’s not broken. I’ve dropped my iPad from higher vantage points and it didn’t even leave a scratch.

Still not a good look, but we are def being a bit dramatic about it.

Break a $400 stick after a bad play — no problem. Lightly toss a $400 iPad onto the bench — hateful and disrespectful.

This is funny beyond belief.
Just when you thought this thread couldn’t get any dumber we now have ‘iPad Gate’.

I guess when a guy has played so well there’s no criticism of his play to find, you dream up something else.

Would you say no to the leafs acquiring Kris Kreider?

How about Miles Wood lmao?

Or the hundreds of times this has happened but the cameras don’t catch it. All these players are competitors. In the heat of the moment when they are losing they are going to get pissed off.
