Simple. Matthews and Nylander haven’t shown they are winners. Nor have they shown that winning is their top priority.
Well that’s not really true, Mathews won 2 golds at the world hrs one was under 18 I believe he was also an mvp in one of those. William also won a gold medal at the world hrs and was also the MV P. Although yep you are correct they haven’t won here.

Who cares about tournaments. Did Matthews even medal at the WJHC?

Matthews helped lead the United States men's national under-18 ice hockey team to gold at the 2014 IIHF World U18 Championship. He did so again in the 2015 Championship, leading the tournament in scoring and being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP), as well as earning the top forward slot on the Media All-Star Team.

Tournament no different than playoffs. They’ve succeeded in playing under the most pressure possible given their age and situation. Except here but who knows if they played for another nhl team they certainly had a chance of being on a Cup winner.

If we eliminate boys hockey and just discuss men's hockey, Matthews won NHL League MVP, Nylander won World Championship MVP.

Anyway, this is Red Herring.

Right, I can’t remember if he medalled at the WJHC either.

Tournaments are two weeks or 1 nhl playoff round. Really no difference.

I do. I observed his play.

Maybe he doesn’t, but Marner won a Mem Cup and I’m thinking on a good team with good players he might do better.

Maybe the other two would do more playing with better players but I don’t think that’s a priority.
That’s your opinion we have people of the opinion that we can’t win with Marner and he literally quit on us last playoffs not sure I agree with them but I know I don’t agree with you
