The House That Fletch Built. On Sand.

I wonder if Wild fans feel the way about Fletcher that I felt about Hakstok - sad that we could only fire him one time.
I can't express how happy I am that we bridged Sanheim as it allowed us to go out and get Brauny to anchor our defense. One of the heaviest anchors indeed. It sure would be something to watch him paired with Bob Hogg and have Stewie in front of them. All that heaviness will most definitely tilt the ice our way.

There is a term called Minnesota Nice, and it was on full display when I was trying to have a realistic conversation about the situation they are in with some of their fans on hfboards. It felt like I was talking to people who lived in an alternate universe where the Minnesota Wild were the Dallas Cowboys of Hockey. It was weird. Most NE based fanbases are pretty realistic about where they are , the further out west you go the more things change.

Another college coach.

I don't think he's very old, so I'm not sure why he - and Hakstok and all the other next-gen dinos - are acting like they don't have a grasp on 21st century human psychology, or the ability to communicate anything other than a 19th century system of punitive measures that Laura Ingalls Wilder's pa would have found slightly old-fashioned.

There is an absolutely massive difference between the way East Coasters and Midwesterners are, probably more massive than most of us realize on a daily basis. It would be easy for me to sit here and point out the stereotypical negative aspects of East Coasters, because they are more ... "blatant," I guess, but there are plenty of issues on both sides. Sometimes I read shouty things on here that I flinch at that you guys wouldn't bat an eyelash over

Its karma. We deserve it for having Farabee, Frost, Rubtsov, and Myers in the AHL while we ice one of the NHLs worst bottom 6's + Hagg.

The org doesnt deserve success.

Instant gratification?

What makes you think that Frost and Farabee would be instant successes?
TK was a marginal 3rd line forward as a rookie, for example. 24 ES points, CFrel -1.1, xGF 49.02%
And if they're not, would they develop faster in a bottom six NHL role or a top six AHL role?

The Sixers should have taught Philly fans that a little pain is worth the eventual gain.
When these kids do come up, I want to see them hit the ground running (or the ice skating) like Giroux. Not flounder for three months.

Just finished pdocast on wingers. They talked about Giroux being slow and not able to keep up with Hayes, but compensating by using his size in cycle game. I feel like there no single podcast where people know what they are talking about.

Oh now Rangers’ fans coaching criticisms matter?

I feel like there no single podcast where people know what they are talking about.

There was one before the Sportsnet/Filipovic angle shoot. Another thing they’ve ruined.

It peaks in Utah and you can’t convince me otherwise. Even the average Lakers/Yankees/Cowboys fan from Detroit gets further outside his/her own bubble than that.
