Yeah i definitely feel like video review in hockey has made it worse, more controversial, and more confusing than it was without it. NHL officiating stinks but i didn’t think they were egregiously messing up things resulting in goals all that often.

I would have been very interested to be a fly on the wall for his interviews this year—he was at least rumored for a couple positions. Everything that came out to the public, there was probably even more on the pro side. He would have to have really, really good answers to a lot of tough questions. Maybe he just hasn’t modified his approach yet and that’s why he took a fall back job.

Nah, he did a very good job with certain key things. It was just the few things he did wrong that sunk him. He can absolutely provide value to a team so long as he sticks to his strengths.
