This might have been the toughest one so far in terms of thinking outside the box (I only started playing on Saturday). Hours spent obsessively reading all those NHL guide and record books and playing late 2000s NHL games finally paid off.

i gotta give him credit..

congrats on making an actual HC career...

i thought he was basicly done after the Flyers.. i havent followed him since, has he changed at all ?

or is his oddball ways just somehow working in Seattle..?
The assumption was Berube and Hakstol couldn't coach, though they made the playoffs 3 times in 6 years.
In hindsight, they were coaching Flyer teams with mediocre talent (no depth at forward, below average defense), on better teams, they became better HCs.

I find it interesting that every coach going back to Lavi took a hard, uberdefensive turn under management that always ranted about defense.

Mayhaps your idols were giving shitty directives.

Remember when Thompson heroically fought back from his injury and the Flyers gifted him his spot in the lineup immediately upon his return as a reward?

Yep, the guy that wasn't healthy scratched once during his entire tenure with the Flyers.

Looks like great process and development to me.
....somethin, somethin, if you can't beat out Nate for a spot, you are not good.

Slurp, slurp
