I think Vegas and Florida are extremely fun teams, so no negative vibes from me about this finals. Guaranteed first time winner.

Florida has really hit a wall possessing pucks, but if Bob wants to be Mr. Fix-It and Tkachuk wants to battle him for the Conn Smythe then all bets are off. I do think Vegas is a tiny bit deeper, and I think they have a coaching advantage.

Two teams without a homegrown top pair defender in the finals. Someone alert Keith Jones.

Vegas is a deep team. I think they’ll find a way to score. We’ll see.

That applies to both goalies, Hill has gone from career backup to playoff star, but shooting stars . . .

Vegas is pretty "Dino," lead the league in blocked shots, roll out a physical bottom six, etc.
Marshessault (5'9 183) is their only "smurf," Smith (6'1 185),
Big D: Pietrangelo (6'3 215), Theordore (6'2 197), Martinez (6'1 210), McNabb (6'4 215), Hague (6'6 230), Whitecloud (6'2 207)

They have very good but not elite players leading them (no McDavid, Hughes, etc.), but a very deep bottom six that scores off the forecheck:

Meh. The Rats are not choirboys, lots of dirty shots by Bennett, Staal, Tkachuk, etc.

These teams are extremely evenly matched up but im going with Florida due to the Bobrovsky heater.

For sure. But theres throwing a cheap elbow, and then theres hacking off someones hand. I dont condone either, but the guy who makes a blatant attempt at injuring someone in garbage time of a game is my prime candidate for "you can go and f*** off".

Tkachuk changed the style of Florida, they're more physical this year, go to the net more.
Even so, they were one of the worst teams in the POs:

12th in xGF% 47.25% (Vegas 6th, 50.25%)
11th in CF% 47.75% (Vegas 10th, 47.91%)
7th in PP xGF/60: 8.74 (Vegas 11th, 7.37)
12th in PK xGA/60: 10.25 (Vegas 14th, 13.72)

Florida ES Sv% 94.58% (1st) - Vegas 93.93% (4th)
Florida PK Sv% 85.00 (9th) - Vegas 80.00% (14th)

Not a lot of smurfs on either team:
Smallest players on Florida, Lomberg 5'9 187, Lundell 6'1 185, Verhaege 6'2 180

Florida does have an undersized D: Forslng (6'0 186), Montour (6'0 194), Ekblad (6'4 215), Staal (6'4 208), Gudas (6'0 208), Mahura (6'0 185)

Is Ekblad not on Florida's top pair? I thought their defense was

Either way, happy to see a first time winner, but my best friend has family in Vegas who are into hockey, so I'm pulling for them. Also, I'm of the opinion that the true heir to Ed Snider isn't the Foundational Titans; it's Bill Foley. Find me another owner who so publicly refuses to let his team rest on their laurels until they find a way to upend the apple cart. Find me another owner that more evidently tells his GM "pour whatever resources you need into creating a success." (an argument can be made for Jeff Vinik here, I'll grant.) Find me another team that has a legitimate chance of going from expansion to Cup faster than the Flyers. (Vegas wins, and they'll have beaten us there by 1 season.)
