It’s not the same at all if Ryan Smith is the guy, which if it happens, he will be. The NHL will be very happy to bring on someone who owns the building. That’s really the core as to why Arizona has been such a fiasco. The Senators are going to sell for a billion dollars because of the building.

Looks like True North Sports & Entertainment officially bought Atlanta at the end of May & relocated them a month later. But they already had an AHL team in their current building. So that was probably a smoother transition than the what could potentially happen here with Arizona.

They’d probably want more time get everything together here with a potential move. You’d be starting from scratch with a fan base as well.

I don't care one bit about pens so even if he goes there and somehow they return to perennial contender we will still suck and our outcome won't improve one bit. Also Keith Jones just ruined his rep with fans. Give it few seasons and he will be in the same boat as Hextall.
