Q is at least legitimately a high end coach. Bowman is mediocre as all hell though. It’s not even remotely worth the negative PR to go down that road especially with Bowman.

I have him in the other keeper league I am in. The other keeper I am in we keep everyone and use the NHL salary cap

How Leafs media sees it:

Shanny brought in Dubas
Then stuck out his neck by firing HOF GM Lou
Then fired Babcock so he could hire "his guy"
Shanny wanted Dubas back
But then Agent sent a contract package that was bigger than expected
Then Dubas "only" emailed Shanny saying he wanted the job, didn't even bother calling
Shanny took the email as disrespectful and then changed his mind because he wasn't sure Dubas "really" wanted the job.

From an on ice viewpoint, I don’t think he made the right choice. He’s too good for college hockey.

Obviously there are some other factors going on and that likely played a role, but he should be playing in the NHL next season.

If it was any other team I would bet he is in the NHL. Hell he may not want to play in Arizona
