I'm so much more checked out on all things hockey these days, not just the Flyers. What's the deal with Raddyish exactly? Offering a pricey long-term deal to a guy who had a career year at 29 (almost doubling his previous career high) seems especially fraught with peril.

Everyone’s going to link Carlson to Tampa now.

It is, but the Leafs had to take a big swing on D

I think it’s a good fit for Toronto.

AAV is fine based on his production and the quality of players around him isn’t changing that much.

The term is a lot, but $8 mill may be below market value in a few years for PP QBs.

I think the Raddysh contract is absurd, but he’ll still probably add value over the next few years. If you happen to have the Leafs 2027 1st, I don’t think adding Raddysh + McKenna (?) will cause the bottom to fall out.

Also, trading a pick to offer Raddysh 8 years is such Fletcher smooth brain shit. What team would beat that offer? Chayka is a guy who wears an analytics skin suit.

What, no bridge deal?!

I don’t know why Dreger thought Raddysh was staying. The reporting all season was they were no where close & if Tampa wasn’t budging then it’s not like the price was going down. If there was ever a case where a guy absolutely had to chase the big ticket it’s Raddysh. Who was a fringe NHLer three years ago at age 26-27.
