Miscellaneous NHL Discussion CX: That's A Lot.

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.

Don't forget the arguing that the Flyers scouting staff is amazing while at the same time saying Gauthier sucks.

Wasn't there a rumor flyers tried to trade up for Ekblad his draft year? They may view him as their Pronger acquisition. Be afraid, be very afraid

They're going to trade their latest first for the rights to Ekblad and Bennett, and then point to Holmgren doing it for Timonen and Hartnell turning the Flyers around back then.

One of my personal faves was when Chuck still had 72hrs 2 days before the deadline. Time manipulation is a tough sell, but it's no match for the Deady algorithm.

Whenever I participate in a mock draft as Washington (which I am right now), I try to keep it realistic and handicap myself by not drafting Finns. Didn't realize the situation was so anti-Finn, though. Washington hasn't drafted a Finnish player in 19 years, hasn't drafted out of Finland in 21 years, and has only had seven Finnish players period in their 51-year history. I only vent because two of the top players left on my board are Finnish and by my own self-imposed rules, I can't take either if they're there at my next pick, lol.

Why? He got a taste of winning. That actually matters to some players. Especially ones who will get paid regardless. Players who have any semblance to want to win will not be arriving on Phila.

Comical the 3 stooges do not realize this at all.
