Those are two really good players. You get an extra year of Bjorkstrand at a good number too.

It’s a shame but Hughes is amassing a serious injury history. He had shoulder surgery last spring and now again. He’s had other dings as well. You hate to see talented players like him being knocked out of the game.

So did Jamie Drysdale and look at him playing 50 games already. Williams was considered injury prone too at one point.

Novak had a strong analytic profile prior to this current year as a lesser known player around the league. So I can see making that swap with Bunting. He’s a little younger & cheaper.

I’m not really sure why they acquired Schenn though.

Edit: Sounds like Schenn could potentially be a trade flip option which would make more sense.

Tampa going for one last dance but make no mistake they will be a lottery team in a couple of years unless they are smart enough to compensate for missing draft picks by attracting the right free agents or making some shifty side moves.
