Hunt is a 3rd pair ceiling D-man.

Question is whether Jiricek is damaged goods.

He's a November B-day, so old for his draft class, two years in the AHL at 19 and 20, but has struggled at the NHL level. He should end up top 4, but now more likely to be a 2nd pair guy. Shades of Risto, big, can skate but the whole may be less than the sum of the parts.

Note, Minnesota is sending him to the AHL, at 21, in his 3rd pro season, he's not considered NHL ready.

I’m not the biggest Jiricek guy but that’s a beatable deal if you have three firsts and like the player in the slightest.

Already announced he'll be with the big club in a few days they just want him to get acclimated quickly with the organization and he'll be up with the big team. So try to polish the organization with a different buffer
