But he did pick Ben Simmons, Nerlens Noel, and Markelle Fultz all while trading up for Fultz with the picks Hinkie got. Harris and Doc might be Saruman and Sauron, but Colangelo is Morgoth

Yes I too remember when they bottomed out and drafted Panarin, Fox and Shesterkin as a result.

It’s basically the same as last year. 2 losses in overtime, one of them multiple, another one-goal loss, all the while they are clearly the better team. If they lose Game 4 in the last 10 seconds of the game, it will complete the symmetry.

Carolinas depth approach to winning works in the regular season but when the Playoffs roll around and they are facing elite goalies on a nightly basis, most of their players cant seem to finish. They also havent been able to add a top tier goalie at any point under Brindy. Right now, they are losing because Shesterkin is significantly outplaying whichever goalie they start.
