I’m pretty sure I laid out several scenarios back around that time that would’ve worked.I’m not asking you to provide Guerin’s plan. I’m asking for you to show a path where it was at least possible to keep Fiala at an $8M cap hit. So far, nothing.
Tag me in the realistic ones.I’m pretty sure I laid out several scenarios back around that time that would’ve worked.

so your telling me our gm who knows all / sees all could not have planned in advance? i forget who was on the roster but trading dumba or hartman or mojo wouldn't have made a difference? c'mon man.I’m not asking you to provide Guerin’s plan. If you can show me some historical salary cap pages, I'll give it a shot.Tag me in the realistic ones.
I was asking DANO because he is the one screaming about trading Fiala, but he can't seem to come up with an answer for how he would have made it work. Playing the revisionist history game.

I’m too lazy. While I would have liked Fiala on this roster, I’m much happier having Faber + Ohgren. It all worked out in the end.Tag me in the realistic ones.

Yeah, I’m more than happy with how things worked out although I’d love Fiala on a line with Boldy. There were, they involved trading some other guys, and it's hard to argue Fiala is worth 8 this year, though he might be scoring more with Boldy. But it could have worked if they wanted it to.
Johansson was not on the roster at the same time as Fiala. Hartman was making $1.7M and playing 1C at the time. Trading Dumba doesn't cover the $8M cap hit. This was also a time where everyone was in a cap crunch due to Covid, so trading a $6M cap hit (Dumba) would have likely required taking salary back.so your telling me our gm who knows all / sees all could not have planned in advance? i forget who was on the roster but trading dumba or hartman or mojo wouldn't have made a difference? c'mon man.
The issue with those scenarios laid out in the summer of 2022: they do not account for a Boldy extension at all. If he's playing wiith Fiala in 22-23, he might be getting $7M on a bridge and $8-9M on a long term deal. So, while we are playing the alternate* history game, a path that kept Fiala could have likely led to trading Boldy. There were, they involved trading some other guys, and it's hard to argue Fiala is worth 8 this year, though he might be scoring more with Boldy. as i've said before billy would not even let russo know anything which tells me he was keeping everything secret. why? because it would make billy look bad if he told the truth. why can't you understand that?
Bring up Jiricek!
Strongly disagree with sending Khus down.
Why? He’s a black hole offensively, one of the best lowest scoring Fs in the entire league. And it’s not like he’s a true shutdown guy yet, or good on the dot/PKStrongly disagree with sending Khus down.
If only they would send Mojo down.Wow Khusnutdinov to Iowa. I mean, good, but still surprising.
When your most common linemate all season has been Devin Shore, I don’t expect much offense to be generated. Why? He’s a black hole offensively, one of the best lowest scoring Fs in the entire league. And it’s not like he’s a true shutdown guy yet, or good on the dot/PK
If he was producing at a 25-30 point pace, I may agree. But he’s pacing for like 10-15 points. Not even close to good enough. If anything this should’ve happened earlier. When your most common linemate all season has been Devin Shore, I don’t expect much offense to be generated.
Khus has been noticeably better the past 10 games & I just completely disagree with the timing of this move. Throw him on a line with someone that has any semblance of offensive skills.
Strongly disagree with sending Khus down.
I believe Shore passed through waivers in the last 30 days, so he could’ve been the one to go down.I assume it's purely about Khus being waivers exempt and Wild needing the roster spot.
I understand that he might get more of an opportunity to build some offense in an elevated role in the AHL, but Iowa is a mess.If he was producing at a 25-30 point pace, I may agree. But he’s pacing for like 10-15 points. Not even close to good enough. If anything this should’ve happened earlier.
I agree he’s been better of late, but a stint in Iowa to build confidence offensively isn’t going to hurt his development

What exactly has he shown?I understand that he might get more of an opportunity to build some offense in an elevated role in the AHL, but Iowa is a mess.
Ohgren I agreed with sending down, but Khus has shown enough recently to get a chance to play up the lineup. Especially when we’ll be playing Gaunce and Shore tomorrow. Those two guys don’t deserve NHL ice time any more than Khus imo.
He’s got a higher ES P/60 than Rossi or Boldy in the last 10 games. What exactly has he shown?
